A Bit About Me

Hey everyone, I'm Lacey, I grew up in a small town of Egeland, ND. With the help of my grandma Mavis, I feel in love with art at the age of 3. I graduated from Bisbee-Egeland High School in 2004 with no formal art education and Minot State University in 2012. It was my time at MSU where I grew to love and appreciate the watercolor and acrylic techniques. My art focus as changed after the passing of my father in 2013. To deal with my grief of my father's passing, I started painting again with no hope of putting it down. My style of art has evolved through out the years with my love of animals, especially horses into my bright watercolors and magnificent acrylics. 

One of my biggest art influences was my college professor, Walter Piel. His bright and loud strokes of the brush has helped open my eyes to seeing painting in a different way.

I live in Voltaire, ND with my husband John, two daughters Chelsee and Molly and our two dogs and cats. Besides painting I love a good book, romantic movies, exercising and spending time with my family. I enjoy traveling to new places and meeting new people. I'm looking forward to working with you!
